Google Tag Manager (GTM) helps you manage tracking codes on your school website without making changes to the website code every time.
After Google Tag Manager is installed, you can use it to add tools like:
Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
Google Ads Conversion Tracking
Google Ads Remarketing
Other third-party tracking tools
If your school wants to track website visitors, admission enquiries, brochure downloads, or other important actions, Google Tag Manager is the recommended solution.
Before setting up Google Tag Manager, make sure you have:
A Google account.
Access to your school's website.
Permission to edit your website or ask your website administrator to install the tracking code.

To connect your institution's website with Google Tag Manager:
Once the configuration is saved, your website will be connected to Google Tag Manager. You can now start adding tracking tags, such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, and other marketing or analytics tools, without modifying your website's code.

After installing the Google Tag Manager code:
Open your Google Tag Manager account.
Click Preview.
Enter your school website URL.
Open your website in the preview window.
If the connection is successful, Tag Assistant will confirm that Google Tag Manager is installed correctly.
If the preview doesn't connect, check that both code snippets have been added correctly.
