How to Find and Link Your X (Twitter) Profile

If you've created an X (formerly Twitter) account for your educational institution, you can link it to your website so visitors can easily follow your institution and stay updated with your latest announcements.

Before You Begin

Before linking your X profile, make sure you have:

  • An X account for your educational institution.
  • Access to the X account.

Step 1: Open Your X Profile

  1. Sign in to your X account.
  2. Click Profile from the left navigation menu.
  3. Make sure you're viewing your institution's official profile.

Step 2: Copy Your X Profile URL

If you're using a web browser:

  1. Open your profile page.
  2. Copy the URL from your browser's address bar.

Your profile URL will look similar to:

If you're using the X mobile app:

  1. Open your profile.
  2. Tap the Share button.
  3. Select Copy Link.

Tip: Copy the link to your profile, not an individual post or reply.

Step 3: Open the Social Media Settings

  1. Sign in to your Institution Admin Panel.
  2. Navigate to Social Media.
  3. Locate the X section.

Step 4: Paste Your X Profile URL

Paste the copied X profile URL into the X field.

Make sure the URL is correct before saving.

Step 5: Save the Configuration

  1. Click the Save button.
  2. Wait for the confirmation message.

After the URL is saved successfully, your X profile will be linked to your institution's website.

Visitors will now be able to access your institution's X profile directly from your website.

After saving:

  1. Refresh the page if needed.
  2. Open your institution's website.
  3. Click the X icon or link.
  4. Confirm that it opens your institution's official X profile.
