How to Find and Link Your YouTube Channel

If you've created a YouTube channel for your educational institution, you can link it to your website so visitors can easily watch your videos and subscribe to your channel.

Before You Begin

Before linking your YouTube channel, make sure you have:

  • A YouTube channel for your educational institution.
  • Access to the Google account that manages the channel.

Step 1: Open Your YouTube Channel

  1. Sign in to YouTube using your institution's Google account.
  2. Click your Profile Picture in the top-right corner.
  3. Select View your channel.
  4. Make sure you're viewing your institution's official YouTube channel.

Step 2: Copy Your YouTube Channel URL

Once your channel is open:

  1. Copy the URL from your browser's address bar.

Your YouTube channel URL may look like one of these:

Tip: If your channel has a custom handle (for example, @YourSchoolName), use that URL. It is shorter and easier to recognize.

Note: Copy your channel URL, not the link to an individual video, playlist, or YouTube Short.

Step 3: Open the Social Media Settings

  1. Sign in to your Institution Admin Panel.
  2. Navigate to Social Media.
  3. Locate the YouTube section.

Step 4: Paste Your YouTube Channel URL

Paste the copied YouTube channel URL into the YouTube field.

Make sure the URL is correct before saving.

Step 5: Save the Configuration

  1. Click the Save button.
  2. Wait for the confirmation message.

After the URL is saved successfully, your YouTube channel will be linked to your institution's website.

Visitors will now be able to open your YouTube channel directly from your website.

After saving:

  1. Refresh the page if needed.
  2. Open your institution's website.
  3. Click the YouTube icon or link.
  4. Confirm that it opens your institution's official YouTube channel.
