How to manage school holidays and events at VIDYAOne School Website
The Academic Calendar section allows your institute to display month-wise holidays and events on the school website. VIDYAOne lets you manage this from the admin panel under Academics.
How to Navigate to the Academic Calendar Menu
- Go to the left sidebar in the admin panel
- Click on Academics
- Select Academic Calendar from the dropdown
Understanding the Calendar Layout
The calendar is organized month by month. Each month has two sections side by side:
Holidays – Public or school holidays for that month
Events – School events and celebrations for that month
Click on any month tab (January through December) to view and edit that month's content.
How to Add a Holiday
- Click on the month tab you want to edit (e.g., January)
- Click the Edit button on the top right
- In the Holidays section Click on + New Holiday, fill in the following fields:
- Holiday Name – The name of the holiday (e.g., "Makar Sankranti / Pongal")
- Start Date – The date the holiday begins
- End Date – The date the holiday ends
- Repeat Every Year – Toggle this on if the holiday falls on the same date every year
- Click Save to apply your changes
How to Add an Event
- Click on the month tab you want to edit
- Click the Edit button on the top right
- In the Events section Click on + New Event, fill in the following fields:
- Event Name – The name of the event (e.g., "Happy New Year", "National Youth Day")
- Start Date – The date the event begins
- End Date – The date the event ends
- Repeat Every Year – Toggle this on if the event occurs on the same date every year
- You can add multiple events for the same month
- Click Save to apply your changes
Important Tips
Go through all 12 months and fill in holidays and events at the start of each academic year
Turn on Repeat Every Year for fixed national holidays and annual events so you don't have to re-enter them every year
Click Publish from the top right of the admin panel to make your changes live on the website
