How to manage the Media Gallery on VIDYAOne school website
The Media Gallery webpage allows your institute to share news coverage, magazine features, and interview content with parents and visitors. VIDYAOne lets you manage this from the admin panel under Media & Resources.
How to Navigate to the Media Gallery Menu
Go to the left sidebar in the admin panel
Under Media & Resources, click on Gallery
At the top of the page, click on the Media Gallery tab
You will see the following default category tabs: News, Magazine, and Interview
You can also create a new category by clicking + New Category
How to Add a New Media Item
Select the category tab you want to add the media under (e.g., News)
Click the Edit button on the top right
Click + New Media to add a new entry
Fill in the following fields:
Image (Required)
Click on the image area to Upload Image. Maximum image size is 1MB (600 x 400 pixels).
Image Caption – A short title for the image
Image Description (Alt Text) – A short description of the image. Maximum 70 characters.
Video (Optional)
Video Caption – A title for the video
YouTube Video Link – Paste the YouTube link for the video. Note: only YouTube links are allowed.
Click Video Preview to verify the video before saving
Description (Optional)
Description – A short description for this media item (e.g., "Our School featured in a regional newspaper for achieving 100% CBSE board results in 2024"). Maximum 200 characters.
Upload Date – The date this media item was uploaded or published
Display Order – The order in which this item appears in the gallery
Button Link (Optional)
Link Text – The text shown on the button (e.g., "Open News"). Maximum 70 characters.
Link URL – The URL where visitors will be redirected when they click the button (e.g., a link to the full news article)
Click Save to apply your changes
How to Add a New Media Category
If your institute has media coverage that doesn't fit the default categories:
Click + New Category next to the existing tabs
Enter the name of the new category (e.g., "Awards Coverage", "TV Features")
Add media items under it following the same steps above
Important Tips
Add a Button Link to direct visitors to the full article or video on an external website
Keep the Description concise so visitors quickly understand the significance of the media coverage
Use the Display Order field to show the most recent or important coverage first
Click Publish from the top right of the admin panel to make your changes live on the website
