How to update the Privacy Policy Page on VIDYAOne School Website

The Privacy Policy webpage allows your institute to publish a clear and transparent privacy policy for parents and visitors. VIDYAOne lets you manage this from the admin panel under Rules and Policy.

How to Navigate to the Privacy Policy Editor

Go to the left sidebar in the admin panel
Under Rules and Policy, click on Schools Policies
At the top of the page, click on the Privacy Policy tab


How to Add or Edit a Privacy Policy Section

The Privacy Policy page is made up of multiple sections, each covering a different aspect of the policy (e.g., "Information We Collect", "Use of Information"). You can add as many sections as needed.
Click the Edit button on the top right
Click + New Policy to add a new section, or edit an existing one

Fill in the following fields in the Privacy Policy Page Content section:
  1. Title – The section title of the privacy policy (e.g., "Privacy Policy", "Use of Information", "Data Collection"). Maximum 70 characters.
  2. Heading – A title for the key policy rules listed in this section (e.g., "Information We Collect", "How We Use This Data"). Maximum 70 characters.
  3. Description – A detailed explanation of this policy section in simple and clear language. Maximum 800 characters.
  4. Policy List – Add each policy rule as a separate point by clicking + New Rule (e.g., "Personal details like name, age, and contact information", "Photos and videos shared with us or captured during school events", "Website usage data including IP addresses and browser types")
You can reorder policy sections by dragging and dropping them into the desired order

Click Save to apply your changes

Important Tips

Write the privacy policy in simple, clear language so parents can easily understand how their data is used
Cover all key areas such as data collection, use of information, data protection, cookies, and contact information
Keep the policy up to date whenever there are changes in how your institute handles personal data
Click Publish from the top right of the admin panel to make your changes live on the website
