How to upload videos to VIDYAOne School Website
The Video Gallery webpage allows your institute to share YouTube videos organised by category such as Introduction, Events, and Campus Life. VIDYAOne lets you manage this from the admin panel under Media & Resources.
How to Navigate to the Video Gallery Menu
Go to the left sidebar in the admin panel
Under Media & Resources, click on Gallery
At the top of the page, click on the Video Gallery tab
You will see the following default category tabs: Introduction, Events, and Campus Life
You can also create a new category by clicking + New Category
How to Add a New Video
Select the category tab you want to add the video under (e.g., Introduction)Click the Edit button on the top right
Click + New Video to add a new entry
Fill in the following fields:
Gallery Video (Required)
- Video Caption – A title for the video (e.g., "Welcome to Our School", "Our Vision & Mission"). This field is required.
- YouTube Video Link – Paste the YouTube embed link for the video (e.g., "https://www.youtube.com/embed/XXXXXXXXX"). Only YouTube links are allowed.
- Video Description – A short description about the video. Maximum 200 characters.
- Click Video Preview to verify the video loads correctly before saving
- Click Remove Video to delete the video if needed
Video Details (Recommended)
- Display Order – The order in which this video appears in the gallery
- Upload Date – The date the video was uploaded
- Tags – Add relevant tags to help categorise the video (e.g., "introduction", "school", "community", "vision", "mission"). Click + New Tag to add more tags.
Click Save to apply your changes
How to Add a New Video Category
If your institute has videos that don't fit the default categories:
Click + New Category next to the existing tabs
Enter the name of the new category (e.g., "Sports Day", "Annual Function", "Achievements")
Add videos under it following the same steps above
Important Tips
Only YouTube links are supported — make sure to use the correct embed URL format
Use clear and descriptive video captions so visitors immediately understand what each video is about
Add tags to make it easier to organise and find videos within the gallery
Use the Display Order field to ensure the most important or recent videos appear first
Click Publish from the top right of the admin panel to make your changes live on the website
