Step-by-Step Guide to Upload Images on VIDYAOne School Website

Images make your school website more attractive, engaging, and informative for students, parents, and visitors. Using the VIDYAOne School Website panel, you can easily upload event photos, campus images, activity pictures, achievements, classroom moments, and much more without any technical knowledge.

In this guide, you will learn how to upload new images, replace old images, manage image categories, and publish the changes on your school website.

The Image Gallery section helps your institute showcase important school activities and achievements such as:

  • Annual functions

  • Sports events

  • Cultural activities

  • Classroom activities

  • Campus life

  • Educational tours

  • Celebrations and festivals

  • Award ceremonies

A well-managed gallery improves your website appearance and keeps parents and students updated with school activities.

To upload or manage images on your school website:

  • Login to your VIDYAOne School Website Admin Panel.

  • From the left-side menu, go to:

Gallery → Image Gallery

Here you will see all uploaded images category-wise.

Examples of categories:

  • Diwali Event

  • Sports Event

  • Academic Event

  • Campus Life

This page allows you to:

  • Add new images

  • Replace existing images

  • Remove old images

  • Create new categories

  • Rename categories

  • Organize gallery content

The Image Gallery page is divided into different sections.

Category Tabs


At the top of the page, you will see category tabs such as:

  • Diwali Event

  • Sports Event

  • Academic Event

  • Campus Life

These categories help organize your images properly.

How to Add a New Category

If you want to create a new gallery section:


  • Click the + New Category button.

  • Enter the category name.

  • Save the category.

Example:

  • Independence Day

  • Science Exhibition

  • Annual Day

Your new category will now appear in the category tabs.

How to Rename a Category

To edit an existing category name:


  • Double-click on the category tab.

  • Edit the category name.

  • Save the changes.

Example:
You can rename:

  • “Sports Event” to “Annual Sports Meet”

This helps keep your gallery properly organized.

How to Remove a Category

If a category is no longer needed:


  • Select the category tab.

  • Click the Remove button.

  • Confirm the deletion.


Important :  Removing a category may also remove its related images. Make sure you check before deleting.

How to Add a New Image

To upload a new image:

  • Select the category where you want to upload the image.

  • Click the + New Image button.


A new image form will open.

Now you can upload your image and fill in the image details.

Upload the Image

In the Gallery Image section:

  • Click on the Upload Image area.

  • Your computer file browser will open.

  • Select the image from your system.

  • Click Open.


Supported image formats:
  • JPG

  • JPEG

  • PNG

  • GIF

  • WEBP

  • BMP

After selecting the image, the crop window will open.

Crop the Image Properly

After selecting the image, you can crop and adjust it before uploading.


Tips for cropping:
  • Keep the important part of the image in the center.

  • Avoid cutting student faces or important content.

  • Use a clean and balanced crop.

After adjusting the image:

  • Click Confirm.

The image preview will now appear in the upload section.

Add Image Caption

The Image Caption field is used as the image title.

Add Information Heading

The Information Heading field allows you to add a heading for the image section.


Example:
  • Class 9 Students Creating Rangoli on Diwali Event

  • Annual Sports Day Celebration

  • Robotics Workshop for Students

This heading may appear on the website depending on your gallery design.

Add Description


You can also add a detailed description about the image or event.

Example:

We provide co-curricular activities that help students learn about culture, teamwork, and creativity through practical participation.

This description helps visitors understand the activity better.

You can also add:

  • Link Text

  • Link URL

This is useful if you want users to visit:

Set Upload Date & Display Order (optional)

Select the upload date for the image.This helps maintain proper event records and gallery management.

The Display Order field controls image positioning in the gallery.

Use proper numbering to arrange images in the correct sequence.

For best website performance, always use optimized images.

  • Maximum Image Size: Less than 1 MB

  • Recommended Resolution: 400 × 500 pixels

If you do not click Publish, changes may not appear on the live website.
